Full Version: Stars Say No to ‘Dynasty’ Reunion Show
Ultimate Dynasty > Ultimate Dynasty Forum > Dynasty

Heather Locklear, John James and Diahann Carroll have snubbed the chance to reunite with their Dynasty cast mates in an upcoming TV special.

Producer Michael Levitt is the brains behind the show, Dynasty Reunion: Catfights & Caviar, and he invited the entire cast to team up for the anecdotal special, which will air in May.

John Forsythe, Linda Evans, Catherine Oxenberg and Joan Collins were among the first stars to sign up for the 25th anniversary show, but Levitt has had less luck with others.

He says, ""They graciously declined.""

Ambitious Levitt hopes to persuade Evans and Collins to reenact their famous pool catfight as part of the upcoming special, which will be shot next month at the Filoli Mansion in California, which doubled as the home of Dynasty's Carrington family in the opening credits of the soap.

I'm despaired. First Michael Nader, now John James, Heather Locklear and Diahann Carroll. Dynasty Reunion wont be the same without them. sad.gif

John James and Heather Locklear should be grateful to the authors of the series because thanks to them they have become famous worldwide. With the only exception of some private objective reasons, any other reason for not appearing at the Reunion Show is a pure lack of respect for the circumstances to which they should be thankful.

I agree with Ana and I would add that such a refusal to participate in the Reunion is, above all, incorrect in respect of thousands of fans they have all over the World thanks to the Dynasty, the fans who have absolutely deserved to see all the major actors they love, and to participate in a special memory of the unforgettable eighties. mad.gif

What a shame that they have declined to appear on the special. At least Joan and Linda will be there.

I'm very sad they declined the offer but I think it's their own right to refuse to do it.

I am very sorry, too, because Heather Locklear and John James won’t participate in the Reunion, but I still have some hope that they will somehow decide to accept it. sad.gif

Maybe some of the actors or producers will be able to do more in talking them into changing their decisions, to the fans’ satisfaction.

I would be very disappointed if John James and Heather Locklear wouldn't be in it, but hey, I thought Al Corley and Pamela Sue Martin were in it too. That's great news, don't you think? John, Linda, Pamela Sue and Al are the people from the very beginning. Joan makes it all complete.

By the way, I wish Pamela Bellwood and Kathleen Beller would be in it. I'd like to know what happened to them after Dynasty.

Greetings to all,

Robin

What's the big deal? I'd just be happy if Mrs. Gunnerson and Andrew Laird show up.

Did you go to your high school reunion? If so, great, but if not, it's your decision -- just as it's the stars decision to accept or decline. They're not obligated, or indebted. I'm not indebted to show up at a high school reunion. I'm grateful for the education I got, came in handy in college, but I don't owe an appearance at a reunion ... and neither do the Dynasty stars.

They don't owe Aaron Spelling anything, and they don't owe us anything.

I'm SHOCKED Diahann Carroll declined. To this day she seems to revel in discussing her time on Dynasty, and continues to gleefully do it seemingly on any show that pays her to.

According to Gordon Thomson, seems it was more a budget crunch than anything else.

I'm just glad for a family portrait of the Carringtons -- at last!
