JOAN COLLINS has agreed to take part in a planned DYNASTY reunion after producers of the TV show assured her that her soap husband wouldn't be taking part. MICHAEL NADER, who played DEX DEXTER on the 1980s supersoap, has been uninvited from a cast get-together portion of the tribute show, which will be filmed next month (APR06) - after Collins insisted she'd refuse to take part if he was in the room. Collins is reportedly still upset by comments Nader made in a 1989 interview, in which he suggested she was a preening diva who sipped champagne and ate caviar in her trailer, while the show's actors learned their lines. Nader has since insisted the comment was a joke he thought Collins would brush off. But MICHAEL LEVITT, the producer of the upcoming reunion show, insists Collins is still angry with her one-time TV husband. He says, "Because Ms Collins is such an important part of Dynasty's success and we value her participation, we chose not to include Mr Nader in the group portion of the reunion to insure the most comfortable atmosphere on set."

I don’t like the fact that there won’t be Michael Nader. Joan should have shown the personal breadth and accept professionally to do the Reunion with Michael Nader, instead of showing up her pure vanity for some conflict that had happened almost 17 years ago. This is the fact that will surely spoil the impression of the actors’ final gathering.

Well, to be honest, Joan herself has admitted to the jokes that there is a blur between herself and Alexis.

Get over it Joan, and think of your fans. This may be the last time we see all the cast together again. What if Nader makes an apology?

Joan got rid of any animosity several years ago and this is basically a ploy to generate more interest in the special itself. For Michael Levitt as a producer to release something like this to the media, knowing that it would gain tremendous exposure, is nothing more than the same publicity stunts that executives on Dynasty used to pull every day with the tabloids. It's fuel for the fire and nothing more.

Hm! To my opinion, such a gesture of Joan’s can only harm herself as far as the series fans are in question. She obviously neglects the fans’ desires, and wants merely her whims to be satisfied.

It's NOT Joan who did this, it's the producer's office. This type of reaction is exactly what the production company wanted to happen because it creates interest in the show. Remember the continuous thing about Joan and Linda constantly feuding behind the scenes... That's not true either.

Thank you for the info Judith. Let's hope all the major actors will participate as this is for sure the last original reunion.

I spoke with Michael Nader last week and that was the first he had heard about any "feud". According to Ms.Collins, this happened in 1989....Michael visited with her when she was appearing on Broadway in the 1990's. and they were photographed together.

This is obviously a ploy by Ms. Collins and the producer to stir up publicity. Too bad they are using Mr. Nader as their target. He said he would have loved to have been in the reunion special and he would have certainly added a lot of interest, since he has not appeared in public for almost 5 years.

And once again I reiterate that it is NOT Joan doing this. It is strictly coming out of the Henry Winkler/Michael Leavitt Productions offices. There is no problem between the two of them and if there were it would have been dead and buried a long, long time ago. Joan is in the middle of preparing for two huge stage productions, she doesn't have time to trash her former co-stars and even if she did, Michael would more than likely not be one of them. This is the exact same ploy that was used in the original series to create the "Joan and Linda hate each other" story that held on for decades and isn't true.

I think the producers of this reunion show have a lot of nerve.

They contacted Mike Nader's agent and wanted Mike to sign a release so they could use his pictures on the reunion show.

I hope they were told what they could do with that idea. Can you imagine? They don't want him on the show, but they want his pictures....how cheap can you get?

To quote James Brown, "Good God Y'all!"

Stop your whining! The producers had a budget. We all do. I'd like to get a new phone but it's not in my budget this month.

We have a reunion with a unique twist, the original Carrington children. Get over it. Thank the Fonz you have this.

I miss Michael Nader, too, but I'd do the same thing if I were Winkler.
