I found this article at femalefirst.co.uk, and it surely looks like there's going to be a Dynasty movie. A reproduction with new actors and actresses. The link to the site is here: Article if you want to see it yourself, but you can also just read here:

Victoria Beckham is reportedly set to star in the big screen remake of '80s soap 'Dynasty'.

The former Spice Girl is being lined up to play super-bitch Alexis - a role made famous by Joan Collins - in the Hollywood version of the classic show.

The brunette beauty, who is married to football ace David Beckham, is said to have won the role after her A-list pals Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes recommended her to 'Dynasty' creator Aaron Spelling.

Film bosses reportedly think the slender singer has the "British style and sass" needed for the film, which is about a wealthy Denver oil family.

An insider told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "The casting crew wanted someone British, glamorous and also slightly aloof.

"Elizabeth Hurley was suggested, but at 40 she's slightly too old for the role."

I also found an article, saying pretty much the same at a danish site. Here's the link to those who speak danish: http://gossip.tv2.dk/article.php/3753068.html?teaser, or they can read along here:

I think I read something like that end of last year in another Dynasty forum or Soap chat but of course I can't find it any more ...

I love Dynasty but I would never watch a re-make with other actors but the original cast! I even had problems accepting Emma Samms and Karen Cellini as new Fallon/Amanda ... sad.gif

Mrs. Carrington
This is the dumbest idea I've ever heard of. I mean, why try to improve upon a classic - that is just setting yourself up for failure. I would totally boycott this movie!! thumbdown.gif

It’s not clear to me now what kind of news is that one regarding Victoria Beckham and what it has to do with the Dynasty Reunion. Is it going to be a separate movie?

The Reunion is confirmed, but the movie is a rumor. I've always felt if Dallas were to make it to the big sceen, Dynasty wouldn't be too far behind.

Here's my big screen Dynasty cast:

Have you been following the news on the Dallas movie? It's gonna be Razzie material...BAD BAD BAD. Everyone's reporting things like Jennifer Lopez as Sue Ellen, for starters. The original director recently dropped out because he and the studio were fighting over some of the casting choices, and he's been replaced with someone truly awful. I have low hopes for this film, and it's not likely a Dynasty film will go forward if they're waiting on success from Dallas.

Ew, LOPEZ AS FALLON??? Come on! I'll tell you what I love, love, love...Sting, Dunaway, Hatcher (though she wouldn't take a role that supporting these days) and Selleck.

If *I* was casting a series of Dynasty movies? And casting it realistically and age-appropriate, which is most important? (Victoria Beckham old enough to be mother of two grown children? Yeah, right, bite me. Liz Hurley's too OLD? Oh, come on. Joan was fucking 49.)

Blake: Michael Douglas, himself an icon of '80s capitalist greed
Krystle: Heather Locklear, 'cause it's too perfect
Alexis: Annette Bening, 'cause she's played British before and can chew scenery with the best
Fallon: Jennifer Finnigan
Steven: Justin Hartley
Adam: John Barrowman, because he was perfect on "Titans"
Matthew: Matthew McConaughey
Claudia: Jennifer Connelly
Walter: Burt Reynolds
Cecil: Gordon Thomson, because I'm cool like that
Jeff: Kyle Lowder
Dex: Matthew Fox
Dominique: Vanessa L. Williams
Sable: Lesley-Anne Down
