For some reason I feel like no one likes Dominique. I loved her. But I have read past threaded comments about her and most of them were negative. I guess I'm the only pro-Dominique Lover.

She stuck out because was the only major black character on the show. I must admit that even though her charater got soft towards the end of her run on Dynasty. She irrated Alexis to the fullest. I beleive it has something to do with evil vs good and as much as Alexis was evil incarnate on the show, God sent Dominque (angel to fight by Blakes side). Dominique aided Blake the way Constance aided Jason. True she came onto the scene as a schemer in her own right, she proved to fight on the side of good. I let my christianity judge for me.

I'm always on the side of right and even though Dominique proved she could hold her own against Alexis, Alexis didn't really mess with her.

Sable was a different story, she was exact equal. Both Dominque and Sable proved to be formdable foes against Alexis! She got whooped every time she was in a fight.

The only way she had to fight was with lies and Cecil's money that was left to her upon his death. Take that away...she would have still be in studio on the Carrington estate...that's if Blake and Krystal wouldn't ordered burnt to the ground.

Alexis was equipped with power due to what was given to her. She didn't come into the picture already having these things. Dominique and Sable aquired their own money and power.

I do beleive that Alexis will forever be the the Queen Bycth but she had some stiff competition. Everything that she has ever done has also been un done proving that good always provails!

You are not the only one who liked Dominique in the show. I think she added some extra spice and I wish she had more time in front of the camera too. Your post gave me a lot of ideas what to write about her and I'll give it a try and post it under Scenes II. If you have any suggestions what the stories should be about, please let me know and maybe we could write one together...

I do not have a story that comes to mind, but I do feel that more blacks should have added to the show to give diversity.

I really liked Dominique until season 6 was over, even if I think her character could have been better used.
But in season 7, she was involved in very poor storylines and I didn't mind anymore of her. Her departure was a good thing because she became a burden (like Heather Locklear -who unfortunately stayed until the end - and Christopher Cazanove).
