Fans have been asking us for awhile where the Dynasty is, and we're not surprised. The second season introduced Joan Collins as Alexis, and that's when the show really started to take off. Fox released the 15 episode first season in April, 2005, and we haven't heard a word about them continuing the series.

We called over there the other day, and Fox explained the situation to us. The first season didn't do as well as they had hoped (even taking into account that the show hadn't hit its stride yet), so they haven't scheduled any remaining season. There's a twist though; the rights to Dynasty go to Paramount in November, 2006, which means Fox wouldn't have been able to release the entire series anyway. Now that's good news for Paramount; Fox has already taken care of the first season and now they can jump in on season 2 (which should sell better than season 1 because it's more popular).

I hope this is a good thing. I'm not sure how great Paramount is when it comes to releasing tv shows on DVD. I hope they don't drop the ball on this one. I wonder if there are going to be any extras on them as well. I don't see anything coming out before the end of the year, especially since Paramount acquires the rights in November 2006. We just have to wait and see. We should all start emailing Paramount to let them know that we DO want these DVDs ASAP though!!! Just a thought.

Ok, now I understand this much better. I juste hope Paramount will be releasing Dynasty. Maybe release season 1 and 2 together first (worldwide), and see if the people want Dynasty on DVD (I'm sure they will), and then release the complete series - incl. the reunion.

I still hope.... smile.gif
