Hello, dynasty fans!

I just wonder this... In April last year we got season 1 of Dynasty on DVD. And if you first gonna release a major tv-series on dvd, and finally realease season 1, the plan must be that the next seasons are being released ??

Well, I see in different forums that this have been discussed alot, but have we really got an answer?

Something is wrong, or else season 2 and maybe even season 3 would have been out already. But nothing has happened so far!

People have been trying to e-mail Fox for an answer (I did that too) and it seems they send out a standard answer like: "At the moment we have no plans releasing...bla bla bla...... check back later" I asked if they could give me and the fans the reason why the release is delayed or cancelled... but nothing about that in the answer. And that really is annoying... I'm a huge Dynasty fan, and if they know something about it... Is it delayed?? Is it cancelled?? Whats the problem?? I would like to know. I hate checking the whole internet every single day for a sign of season 2 on dvd.

Well, to the point... Why can't we get a straight answer?? If some of you have got that, please let me know. If I get to know that the release has been cancelled forever, thats better than waiting and waiting and waiting....

Anyway... Still I'm hoping but this doesn't look good. So until someone comes with the bad (or hopefully the good) news, I'll be waiting for a sign of season 2 of Dynasty.

I feel the same way. I don't think anybody knows what is going on. I do think FOX is not handling this very well. I emailed them a few days ago and never received a response back. I do feel that they will release it, there is just no telling when.

Laurie I emailed Fox too two days ago and have yet to get a response of any kind. I sent the email to the email address foxmovies@fox.com but I'm not quite 100% sure if this is the correct email to send inquiries to as the Fox website doesn't have a contact email address link. If anyone has a better email address to contact Fox let me know.

Anyway, I agree Hanzee, I want to know what the hold-up seems to be. I don't think Fox will be that forthcoming with a true answer though, as it probably doesn't make good business sense. But, like you, I so want more season sets.

There could be so many reasons why there is a delay. Sales of the first set could be a factor. Legal issues could be a factor. Who knows?

They are having problems with part of the licensing on material contained within the second season. Although Fox owns the rights to market and distribute the show, they don't own the rights to reproduce certain elements and until such time as they do have all of the clearances in order, they can't release. It is far more convenient to release a statement such as the ones you've all received than it is to say "sorry but we don't have the rights". I'm positive that once the rights issues have been cleared up that Season Two will be released. We're just going to have to wait for quite a while until it's done...

I really hope you're right that it will be released sometime in the future. I have the patience to wait, as long as there is hope... The only funny thing is that they started to release season 1 before these things were fixed. Then we can say that its better to release season 1 than no seasons at all.

Well, if it's not released I have to search, search and search... Cause I really want to relive all the episodes. I haven't seen it since the 80's.

Judith, thank-you very much for this information regarding Season 2. It doesn't surprise me that there are legal issues that still have to be ironed out. I know you sometimes have inside info having close ties to Joan's assistant and being in the "Biz," so this info is very much appreciated by this fan.

And, it DOES give us hope in that Fox does have the will to release more season DVD sets, and that Season 2 will be released some day once the legalities are resolved. That in itself brings a smile to my face!
