Komodor - by special request - The plane:
Blake & Krystle are flying back from the oil conference and Blake is sitting on the couch as Krystle is in full flow, talking about her latest PR plan to put a full page ad in all the major papers – not a sales pitch but information. She is very enthusiastic and Blake considers it and says that he likes it & he’s proud of her. She smiles, pleased at the compliment, sits beside him and continues to explain – saying that what was discussed at the conference should be shared with the public – everyone knows the oil companies make money but don’t know about the risks they take – new oil leases, development, etc and they should know. Blake is amused at how earnest she is and says that he has a felling that when she’s finished, they will know. Krystle is so enthusiastic that she doesn’t seem to realise that he is teasing her and she continues by saying that they have another hour before they arrive in Denver – she could start the campaign right now. Blake, although he approves of her plan, is not as interested in working right now, and has to stop her by saying – no, not now, and she is surprised at him askingher to wait – she is so carried away with this. He smiles and explains they are 20,000 feet above the clouds, they are alone, and the last thing on his mind right now is public relations. Krystle returns the smile as she appreciates the situation and sees the playful look on his face. As she was facing him, she sits back against him, returning the smile and saying that she doesn’t need a full page ad to know what’s on his mind. They are sitting very close now & Blake is looking at her face in a loving and mischievous way and then surprises her by looking past her and saying – oh, how I’ve missed that! Krystle looks puzzled and caught off-guard and asks what, & Blake replies by flirtatiously smiling & referring to the vein on her neck that throbs when she gets excited & then teasing her, asks whether she thinks it does that on purpose. Krystle is so surprised by this comment that all she can do is smile and say she’s better do something about that. At this, Blake says in mock horror – don’t you dare – I’m very fond of that! He then puts his hand on her shoulder and moves closer and as he looks playfully at her face, moves to kiss her neck. Krystle is seen there with a pleasantly happy look on her face – obviously their relationship is improving if she is enjoying their intimate, playful contact and is not rejecting his advances. It is also amusing to see how Blake is flirting with her by drawing on the fact that, unlike the first time, he does actually know her very well and very intimately – I think Krystle was quite surprised that Blake was so enchanted by her that he knew her so well.
Darla - the scene with Kryse in blue is when they are coming back from Aspen. The racetrack is at Los Angeles when Blake goes to the oil conference - it is where Fallon meets Peter.

This is difficult to describe because it does not relate to one scene only. The tension starts when Blake is facing financial ruin and is frustrated by the circumstances. Don’t get me wrong – Blake did take care of Krystle and the baby – he wanted to protect them both from what was happening. They had an argument when Krystle dismissed the staff and then again, as I described earlier when she sold her jewellery. Although most of their disagreements were fairly minor and they made up, it was all building and there was an incident when a potential investor made a pass at Krystle and she threw him out.she was offended by his behaviour but when she told Blake about it, he didn’t react as outraged as she may have expected him to, but brushed it off, saying that he wouldn’t have meant anything by it –it was his mission to flatter every beautiful woman he met. Krystle was further shocked that Blake would still deal with him, although she wouldn’t have to see him again. That flared up later when she comes home as they are discussing business and he apologises for the impression he gave and offers her jewellery. She is disgusted and tells him that she recently sold her jewellery & keeps only her wedding ring – it’s all she wants. She doesn’t accept his apology and he refuses to deal with Blake. In turn Blake is worried that Krystle is naďve with business and that she is becoming a problem as she says that she will try to understand but won’t turn her conscience over to him. He says that he’s sorry about that because they will face some hard times – later when the doctor tells her that she can still keep working, she is really happy but he tells her that she shouldn’t be risking the baby’s health & he refuses to allow her to work. Krystle believes that this is because he doesn’t trust her judgement & still thinks she is a liability. They both knew their relationship was being tested by these circumstances and because Blake again, does not involve her in his business life & doesn’t seem to understand her feelings

Sorry Darla - what happened was that Blake was desperate for an investor and was trying to keep him sweet. He must have thought Blake was really desperate as he still was negotiating with him after making a pass at Krystle and being thrown out. When he made he apology he was about to sign the deal but he felt that Krystle humiliated him. Krystle refused to accept the gift and spoke to him in a really cold tone then turned round and walked out of the room. She was disgusted with him & he was furius that she acted this way. He turned to Blake and set the apology was in Krystle's court now & demanded that Blake get Krystle back & apologise to him. Blake was embarrassed, partly that Krystle had not accepted the apology but also because he knew she was partly right - this man was offensive to her. Blake refuses and says he's not ordering her to do anything - she doesn't like him & wants nothing to do with him. When the investor then asks about Blake - he replies that they should keep things on a business footing - after all he was about to sign a deal - at this the man said - you just said it - I was about to. Then he too walks out. Hope this clarifies it Darla.

I think very romantic scene is also when Krystle asks Blake when the last time was that she told him she loved him. He replies, " About 10 minutes ago when I was doing this."I remember only this line. It was at the fireplace.

At the wedding, one of the best scenes involves no dialogue at all. Blake is at the bottom of the staircase with Steven, Fallon, Adam, Claudia and Kirby, waiting for Krystle. There are large displays of flowers all down the stairs and a lady is playing the harp. She begins to play a really gentle tune as Krystle appears at the top of the stairs, wearing a floor length, backless, pale blue dress and was also wearing a large-rimmed blue hat, with her hair swept back into a low chignon. Krystle looks very calm and happy as she sees Blake waiting for her, and he in turn, just gazes at her with a broad smile on his face– she really looks beautiful in this outfit. As she slowly walks down the staircase, we see a very shy & happy smile on her face as she focuses on Blake alone – he also cannot take his eyes from her. No-one else is in the room for them – they only have eyes for each other. As she gets to the bottom of the stairs she is looking at Blake with love and adoration in her eyes & he is completely entranced by her – both are smiling and full of unspoken joy that they are to be married. Blake holds her hand and they gaze lovingly into each other’s eyes.
In the next scene, Blake and Krystle walk down the aisle together, arm in arm. I think that it shows that Blake loves her so much that he cannot wait for her to walk down the aisle to him – he needs to be with her before that! As they reach the minister, Blake releases Krystle’s arm but they cannot stay apart and so they instinctively hold hands as they give their vows. As they say their vows they are both looking deeply into each other’s eyes and their love is written all over their faces – indeed Krystle’s eyes are sparkling as she says I do.
After the wedding, the band is playing and Blake & Krystle are dancing closely together when Blake decides to serenade her (quite difficult considering Krystle’s hat!) – just one look at you, and my heart goes tipsy in me – you and you alone bring out the gypsy in me – I love all the many charms about you – above all I want my arms about you. She is amused by this and is smiling with love and also at his questionable singing. They are so involved with each other that they begin to kiss on the dancefloor and only stop when they realise that all of the guests are clapping them. Krystle smiles and Blake looks a little embarrassed. Its good to see them so close & unaware of everyone else

On the honeymoon, Blake is standing by the pool wearing a robe as he dries his hair and watches Krystle swimming. As she gets out of the pool, she walks gracefully over to him saying “its amazing”, while he laughs and wraps a robe around her, saying “yes indeed, you are”. He is standing behind Krystle and has wrapped his arms tightly around her and is kissing the side of her head, as she laughs and says that she means being here in Rio – its winter back home & summer here – she never could get over that in school. She then turns around to face him, placing her hands on his chest as Blake laughs & teases her saying – mind boggling isn’t it. Then they both laugh and then Blake notices some men coming towards them playing music and carrying food. They walk over, hand in hand to the manager of the hotel who says that he hopes they enjoy their stay in this romantic city. As he leaves, Krystle moves to the food but Blake catches her arm, putting his arms around her instead, asking whether she is really hungry. Krystle smiles & replies that they should really eat something – they have gone to a lot of trouble. Blake says he knows but how about later – he then smiles seductively at Krystle saying – the man did say that this is a romantic city – we don’t want to make a liar out of him do we? Krystle is left in no doubt about Blake’s immediate plans and returns the smile, looking more than happy & then they move in for an long, loving embrace which became more passionate as they wrapped their arms around eachother.
One night at Rio, they were coming back to the suite and we can hear them laughing & Blake is behind Krystle & slowly & lingeringly removes her red scarf from her shoulders – as a true gentleman. He then places his hands on her arms & asks whether she would like a nightcap – to which Krystle replies that she’ll have a sip of whatever he is having. Blake is wearing a white dinner jacket with red in his top pocket & Krystle is wearing an off the shoulder red dress with a large white flower in the side of her hair. As he pours a brandy, Krytsle compliments him on his dancing, saying – in case no-one has ever told you, you samba very well Mr Carrington. Blake, ever modest, says he knows – watch out Mr Kelly & Mr Astaire – but Krystle walks over to put some music on and disagrees, saying – not all that well Mr Carrington. Blake pours a brandy & Krystle joins him in the middle of the room – he proposes a toast – to a lifetime of happiness. As he holds the glass, Krystle also places her hands on the glass and smiles lovingly at him as she repeats the toast. She then takes the glass and takes a sip while her eyes never leave Blake – he is watching her too as this is such an intimate moment – their hands so close together. As he takes the glass from Krystle, her hands slide from the glass onto his hands and then along his forearms as he takes a drink – they are both so fixated with each other & it is as if Krystle doesn’t want to be away from his touch at all. As they gaze into each other’s eyes, they begin to dance, still with Blake holding the glass – they move slowly and sexily to the music, hardly taking their eyes off each other. At these words, Blake stops dancing & just looks at her, love and concern in his eyes & says “Oh darling, you’ve lived through one disappointment already, I don’t think I could bear to see you suffer that way again”. Krystle probably expected this but tries to reason with him saying “there’s a risk to everything in life – and a child of our own…!”. Blake still thinks that it is too risky and tries to explain that they will have LB and Jeff & Kirby’s baby in the house & they will love them both as if they were their own. He smiles at her and she returns a weak smile as he draws her close again to continue dancing. Blake is touched that Krystle loves him that much that she is prepared to undergo further disappointment and difficulty to try for another baby, but he doesn’t think that she should. He thinks that her health & happiness are paramount & won’t let her take such a risk. He doesn’t realise that Krystle is prepared for this & that motherhood is very important to her – she wants them to have their own baby and that it is worth the risk. The scene is very romantic and yet it ends with Krystle looking so sad as she continues her dance.

As she cries, she says that she doesn't know what to do anymore - she loves him so much. Fallon realises the truth of this andsys she knows & she's sorry. Krytsle chokes back her tears and says not to be nice to her because she'll just turn on her again. Fallon says she won't because she realises that she really loves Blake & she's sorry for trying to invade that love. Fallon asks Krytsle to stay inth room - she wants to be with her - but Krystle tells her that she doesn't want to be with her. Krystle leaves the room withFallon standing there looking lost, but then Krytsle realises that she does want to be with Fallon - they are finally understanding each other. As she comes back in to the room they fallinto each other's arms and cry.

Krystle reaches up and touches his arm and Blake tries to explain that having Sarah there isn’t good for her or the baby – she needs something they can’t give her but Krystle says she just needs them right now. Reunion at Dayton Part 1:
The morning after Blake arrives in Dayton, he wakes up and goes to the bedroom where Krystle has been sleeping and calls her name but sees that no-one is there. A little anxious, he calls for her in the kitchen and then in the other bedroom but there is no response. He then goes to the back door and sees Virginia talking with someone on the swing, as the lady turns around, it is Krystle, and she gives him a beaming smile and walks over to him. She takes his hands and says that he was sleeping so soundly that she didn’t want to wake him. She then notices that Blake is just gazing at her, smiling, not saying anything and she is concerned & she asks what the matter is. Blake shakes his head, he hadn’t meant to alarm her – he was just so relieved to see her looking well and happy – he says that she looks so wonderful to him. This has set Krystle at ease and they share a tight hug – Krystle looks happy & “normal” but Blake has his eyes closed & is holding her tightly because he has been so anxious about her and now he is back with her. Krystle then holds his hands again & says that she was so frightened when she woke up in a strange house – she couldn’t imagine what she was doing there. Virginia interrupts and says that she came to show Blake Dayton and her cousin, & Krystle is still a little confused and asks why she couldn’t remember. Blake hurriedly says that she was very tired and Krystle accepts this, saying that the headaches had been getting so bad lately that she must have taken too many. Blake tries to use the opportunity to persuade her to see the doctor but Krystle laughs it off saying that she feels fine now – and besides she is going to show him the house she grew up in, the church and the school – but Blake still says she should go to the doctor – but Krystle teases him by saying that she’s fine & he doesn’t get out of it that easily.

Blake and Krystle go walking in the woods talking about her childhood they come upon a shed that she used to play in – she jokingly says “welcome to my palace” and Blake teases her then mockingly admits that it was a beautiful palace. As they go inside, there is a child’s tea set on a small table and some dolls things. As she looks around, she suddenly remembers something and kneels down & digs up part of the ground, using an old piece of china. Blake asks what she’s doing and then she produces an old tin – she takes it to the table and laughs as she opens it – she can’t believe that its still there after all this time. It is a musical box and as she winds it up, Blake says “your orchestra – my dance”. Krystle looks surprised at this and Blake takes her hand & they waltz in the shed. As they dance he says that they could take the shed home for Krystina & put it up by the lake – saying that she did go there quite often – Krystle doesn’t know that Blake is trying to find out whether she really was there lately, & she shrugs and says that its been a while. Blake sounds surprised then asks whether she has been out there recently but Krystle says not for months. As he then asks whether she is sure, she laughs and says of course she’s sure! Then the music stops and Krystle looks wistfully at the musical box saying that it was such a long time ago. She then slowly looks at Blake & smiles, saying that they shouldn’t take the shed home – Blake nods & smiles and says “you’re right darling – this belongs to another little girl”. I think that comment is so sweet as Blake has been able to glimpse Krystle’s childhood by seeing where she played and also by saying her childlike enthusiasm & innocence. Krystle looks deeply into his eyes as he smiles and says, almost in wonder “I love you so much” and then they fall into a passionate embrace, their arms wrapped tightly around each other.
Reunion at Dayton Part 1:
The morning after Blake arrives in Dayton, he wakes up and goes to the bedroom where Krystle has been sleeping and calls her name but sees that no-one is there. A little anxious, he calls for her in the kitchen and then in the other bedroom but there is no response. He then goes to the back door and sees Virginia talking with someone on the swing, as the lady turns around, it is Krystle, and she gives him a beaming smile and walks over to him. She takes his hands and says that he was sleeping so soundly that she didn’t want to wake him. She then notices that Blake is just gazing at her, smiling, not saying anything and she is concerned & she asks what the matter is. Blake shakes his head, he hadn’t meant to alarm her – he was just so relieved to see her looking well and happy – he says that she looks so wonderful to him. This has set Krystle at ease and they share a tight hug – Krystle looks happy & “normal” but Blake has his eyes closed & is holding her tightly because he has been so anxious about her and now he is back with her. Krystle then holds his hands again & says that she was so frightened when she woke up in a strange house – she couldn’t imagine what she was doing there. Virginia interrupts and says that she came to show Blake Dayton and her cousin, & Krystle is still a little confused and asks why she couldn’t remember. Blake hurriedly says that she was very tired and Krystle accepts this, saying that the headaches had been getting so bad lately that she must have taken too many. Blake tries to use the opportunity to persuade her to see the doctor but Krystle laughs it off saying that she feels fine now – and besides she is going to show him the house she grew up in, the church and the school – but Blake still says she should go to the doctor – but Krystle teases him by saying that she’s fine & he doesn’t get out of it that easily.

Great information and screen shots. I was happy to see how Blake evolved over the seasons. He seemed so cold to everyone, even Krystle, at the beginning of the show, but then later they showed more of his compassino and less of his shrewdness. although he still stayed a strong character!

Krystle comes into Blake’s hospital room looking very upset & anxious for his health and calls his name in a quiet voice. Hearing her voice, Blake turns towards the door and looks suspiciously at her, wondering whether she was Rita. As she doesn’t know to much about Rita, Krystle does not realise this and smiles with relief that he is conscious and moves to his bed. She is so happy to see him again. She sits beside him and takes his hand but he pulls his arm away, leaving her confused at his behaviour & she says “its me Blake – its Krystle” but he is still suspicious and asks about the other woman. Krystle realises he means Rita and tries to convince him that she is out of their lives but he is not so convinced and says in a shaky voice “how can I be sure – I want to be but how can I be”. He thinks that this really is Krystle but knows that he has been fooled before and nearly killed by Rita so he needs reassurance. Krystle is still holding his hands and considers for a moment how to convince him then smiles and leans forward and says, happily – does he remember where he was when he first asked her to marry him – they were on his plane and she she said that she loved him but wondered if she could fit in to his lifestyle, his wealth. She looks lovingly at him as she recalls this memory & then says that he looked at her and took her hand & asked whether she would be more comfortable if he gave away every cent he ever made. She then laughs and says that he told her – not that it would make any difference because …..Then Blake interrupts and continues by recalling what he said – that if he started from scratch he’d have $1m by the end of the year & $10m by the next year. Blake knows for sure that this is his wife and he is so happy – they both smile and look deeply into each other’s eyes as the realisation sets in for them – they are back together after thinking they would never see each other again. Blake draws Krystle into a tight embrace and she wraps her arms around him, crying with happiness and relief at being back in his arms – he looks so happy to be holding her again.
After this long embrace, Krystle strokes the side of his face & is still crying but whispers that she is the same woman & the only difference is that she loves him more now than she did then - if that were possible. Blake is overjoyed to hear this & says that he thought he had lost her – that he would never see her again. Knowing that this must have been a bad time for him, and seeing how this must upset him, she tries to hush him, saying that he has to rest. Instead, Blake says he’s fine – its good now & going to be better. He then adds, very emotional, nearly pleading with her – don’t leave me, please. Krystle looks at him with such love, tenderness and concern & says with conviction that they’ll never separate them again – never. Hearing those words, Blake can be comforted and he draws her into another loving embrace and we see Krystle still crying as this has been an ordeal for her and she just wants him to hold her like this.

Greg - yes it may seem srange but don't forget, he's just been poisoned and recovering from some kind of heart problem,is very weak & earlier he couldn't even see straight. He was hardly well! I do think that there could have been a scene where he asks her what happened so he can comfort her, but they got around that by Krystle having her nightmares and going back to the attic to put the past behind her.
There is another 2 great scenes after their reunion at the hospital:
1. The bedroom
Blake is in bed sleeping and Krystle is lying on top of the covers beside him. She is on her side and is just happy & absorbed watching him sleep. Gradually, he begins to stir and as he turns towards her & slowly opens his eyes to see him smiling lovingly at him. He is a little surprised at this as he has just woken up & sleepily asks her what she is looking at. Krystle smiles and leans forward to him, resting on her hands on the pillow and says “You – you’re the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen”. This is good for Blake to wake up to and he smiles and he puts his hand to the side of her head and gently pulls her into a really tender and loving kiss, with Krystle hand on his cheek. They are definitely enjoying their early morning kiss but a knock at the door interrupts them and Blake reluctantly gets out of bed and Krystle fastens up the rest of the buttons on her negligee as the staff bring them their breakfast. As Blake pulls on his robe etc he explains that he asked for them to have breakfast upstairs because he wants her to take it easy. Krystle smiles as she appreciates his thoughtfulness, but goes towards him & puts her hands on his chest, saying that if anyone should be taking it easy then it should be him – he’s just come out of hospital. He replies that he’s not going anywhere – they’re both going to pamper themselves & Krystle gives him a kiss. She goes to look at the paper but the headline is about how the police cannot find her kidnapper – she freezes and puts it down. She has her back to Blake but he can see she is upset and although she tries to brush it off, he reads the paper. He stands behind her and puts his arms protectively around her and leans his head close towards her neck as he whispers that she’s home & safe & nothing is going to happen to her. She has a frightened, fearful look on her face but tries to be strong for him and so turns to face him & says that she knows that. She smiles and cups his face in her hands and says that she’s fine, really, and kisses him.

As she walks around, she remembers all of the threats that he made to her and then she hears her name called and she turns around to see Blake in the doorway. He had followed her from the mansion and is confused as to why she is there. He asks what in the world she is doing there & Krystle looks at him, still trying to understand herself, and explains that she had to come back – she had to know that she could be in that room and walk out – that she was really free. Blake walks towards her and reaches out to her, still puzzled, saying that she is free. They look at each other for a moment then she points to the cot bed and tells him “I used to lie in that bed & think about us – together”. She looks wistful and smiles to herself as she remembers their times together, and she continues, saying “you and me – you holding me”. Blake is watching her with his arms around her & she is looking away, remembering, then looks back at him and asks “hold me now Blake, hold me tight” and embraces him. He responds by holding her tightly and then as they move apart, she smiles and asks him to take her home. Now that she has finally been with Blake in this room and been held by the man she loves rather than see Joel’s face there, the attic no longer has any hold over her – she has a good memory there now.
