Which Hollywood legend do you think made the greatest impact on the show, rock Hudson, Charlton Heston, Barbra Stanwyck, Ali MacGraw, Billy Dee Willaims etc???

I think it must have been Rock Hudson for two reasons:
1 He allmost broke up Krystle and Blake, making it the best guest preformance becouse he made them look interresting
2 The whole kiss with Linda Evans and the fuss about the fact he had aids made it important on a big scale.

MacGraw was too annoying, and Hamilton confessed he didn't know what he was doing.

Hudson was still a star, despite this point in his life. He was still great, and if anyone could have won Krsytle from Blake, it would have been Daniel. Just think if this had been Hudson from just a few years before!

Heston was great, too. I loved all the scenes he had with Forsythe and company. He had presence. That one scene where he's looking at Krystle's picture and that's it, says so much ... a real, accomplished actor.

Stanwyck. What can I say? I grew up on Big Valley reruns and late night movies. She was a Hollywood legend. Even though she hated things, she was shining, so brilliant. She was great with Forsythe and James, but her real scenes were with Beacham. If it weren't for the age, a catfight between the two would have been wonderful!

Dynasty had many guest stars apart from Charlton, Rock and Barbara, Hollywood legends, like world famous George Hamilton, Ricardo Montalban, Ali MacGraw, Helmut Berger, Kabir Bedi and many others.

My vote goes for George Hamilton. He may not have known what he was doing, but he was hilarious. He had a sense of the ridiculous, which was essential on DYNASTY at that time. Without one, you were .. . MICHAEL PRAED!! :yikes:

He played Farouk Ahmed, Rashed's brother, during the last episodes of Season Two and the first part of Season Three.

Thanks for the lowdown, kids! In fairness, I must also give a big shout out to John Saxon who, as Farouk's baby bro, Rashid also brings a sense of the absurd to the proceedings. He breathes fresh life into the end of Season 4 almost single handedly!

I don't think you can include Barbara Stanwyck and Charlton Heston as guests stars as they were regular stars on Colbys - to me they're a permanent fixtures as Blake and Krystle are really.
That's a good point about Rock Hudsom making such an impact on all levels.
However my favorite short run guest stars are: Kate O'Mara, the actor who played Luke Fuller and the actress who played Joanna Sills.

Yeah Barabar and Charlten were regulars on the Colbys but were guest cats on a couple of Dynasty episodes leading up the begginning of the The Colbys. And they were amazing. I loved them and they so welcome and a shame Charlten didn't guest star in Dynasty later in the run too after the Colbys had finsihed. It would have been good seeing him in season 9 visiting Jeff, Sable and later Monica. Especially to talk about the revelations revealing that he wasn't Monica's dad. Tracy Scoggins was another great regular on the Colbys who guested on Dynasty. She was hugely welcome in season 9 visiting her mother.

But while technically these are not guest cast my favourite would have to be the Fallmont parents. they were brilliant during season 6 and 7. I felt so much for the mother, Emily when she sent Blake the letter and was then cruely ran over while fleeing from her husband. Fantastic acting.

i didn't rate Joel played by George Hamilton much at all. he should have been more menacing. But why did he say he didn't have a clue what to do and why did barabara Stanwyck hate the show so much.

Ricardo Mantablan = Zack Powers greek shipping tycoon, had affairs with alexis, sable and caress, so kept it in the family!
