I am now rewatching season 3. I always was and still am an Alexis fan and I always thought that she is not the "evil to the bone" person most people think she is.
When I first saw it as a child I thought setting up Mark Jennings in his hotel room so as to break up the affair he was trying to have with Fallon was a bad thing to do.
Now that I see it again I think she was doing Fallon a favour and that her motive was not only jealousy but also care for her daughter. Mark was not worth it. He came to Denver to get Krystle back, had an affair with Alexis and at the same time made a pass at her daughter.
I think he deserved what he got.

1. She searched Mark out after she found out his divorce from krystle was illegal,she fed him lies about Krystle's marriage saying Blake didn't love her,and she was miserable and played on the guys emotions by saying that she had never fallen out of love with him and that he still had a chance to woo Krystle back,all because she wanted Blake for herself.
2. She taunted Krystle on many occasions about her inability to have children (After she caused her miscarriage)
3.When she was grieving for her lost child she tricked Blake into going to Rome and being photographed with her to unsettle Krystle even further by makeing her think her husband was being unfaithful !
I could go on and on and on ! So sorry no no no no NO Mark was just being used and Alexis was just being a manipulative B I T C H (Just Business as usual

OK ! Sometimes she was a bitch but I still think what she did to Mark was a good thing , after all he was so stupid.
YEH TRUE 
I'm not sure that anyone is nominating Alexis for sainthood. Although she had less than stellar motives for bringing Mark to Denver, she didn't want him to hurt Fallon and tried to protect her daughter in her own way. The only trouble is that her way is brutal and heavy handed.
Yeah - Mark was stupid. That is true. But I am sure that what Alexis has done to destroy Fallon's and Mark's relationship was simply because of jelous. She could not stand that Mark resisted her. She was so proud that she was playing her sick game with him then and was standly humiliating him.
