Not these days, Dynasty was over 20 years ago, I know, I watched the original shows blush.gif
Back then, I would have to say the rape of Kirby by Adam thumbdown.gif

Mrs. Carrington
Yes, the Adam/Kirby rape is disturbing.

A couple of other scenes stand out for me as being particularly tough to watch:

* When Blake rapes Krystle. So violent and awful.

* When Blake has a really brutal confrontation with Steven just prior to Blake and Krystle's wedding (Season One). Blake says something to the effect of, well, I guess I could have established a Steven Carrington School of Faggotry. That is so mean I can barely stand viewing that interaction.

* And last, also from Season One, when Blake takes Krystle to the jewelry appraiser and puts her through the whole charade of having the emerald necklace evaluated. It is such an abusive thing Blake did that I cringe watching it.

Actually, now that I think about it, Season One has some quite brutal, emotionally raw moments...

Yes no wonder John wanted to soften the character. The main argument being that why would Krystle, the gentle ,loving soul stay and put up with him ; and seeings that Blakes love for her was so very, very stronge and the main point of the whole drama he knew what he had to do to keep her ! And thank God /John he did ! smile.gif
Adam's Woman
I, too, found the rape scenes with Krystle and Kirby very disturbing. Even worse, I felt that the writers treated rape as though it was no big deal, especially Krystle's reaction to Blake the next day. I am glad that they finally had Kirby realize that she was raped and there were reprecussions for Adam--however slight.

The first time I saw the Moldavia episode AFTER September 11th, I found it to be somewhat disturbing. I've heard the current version airing on Soapnet been edited.

The baby doll was another one. That scene was so well played out. Clauida is totally nuts. High and mighty Fallon has to come down and deal with the pagan. Then when the baby goes over, John James and Linda Evans' characters look like they're in total desperation, and when Blake has to hold Fallon back, it's just powerful.

Cecil and Alexis in bed was fun too. It could have come right out of one of Joan's movies!

Yes that scene is very good, and Pamela Bellwood is very good (and in the next episode as well)!

The worst rape's scene is in "the Colbys". Miles raped Fallon and she forgave him a few episodes after, obviously considering that it wasn't his fault. She even insisted to stay in the same mansion! It's just revolting, especially since the character was supposed to be Fallon...

The early episodes of Dynasty (up to mid-season three), the actors really acted. And they used their faces to convey emotions. Blake's trial, for example. Look at the anguish in Claudia's face as she testifies. The same for Matthew, Fallon, Blake, and especially Steven.

Too bad they traded all that for camp. Imagaine if they had found common ground, camp and drama. M*A*S*H, for example, found a balance of comedy and drama.
