Anyone know which Dynasty star they are talking about?

John James is going to play Jeff Martin, Erika Kane's first husband. When Erika and Jeff were married in the 70s, Erika got pregnant and had the first legal abortion on television. In true soap opera fashion, the story has been rewritten and instead of being aborted, the fetus was stolen. Erika and Jeff's son is now an adult physician working (where else?) in Pine Valley. Jeff Martin returns to check it out. I understand that it is a short-term contract.
