As I prepare to celebrate the "Dynasty Reunion: Catfights and Caviar", a simple question comes to mind - What If? What if things happened differently from what we know?

* What if Blake and Alexis never divorced?
* What if Alexis hadn't returned to Denver? What if instead, Fallon married Cecil, and he left her pitted against Blake in the struggle to control oil?
* What if Steven were heterosexual? Would he have been poised to take over the reigns of Denver-Carrington?
* What if Sammy Jo were raised by her father Daniel Reece?
* What if Krystle never came to Denver, and never married Blake?
* What if "Dynasty" had failed in ratings and had been cancelled in the first two years? What would have left the mark, and shaped 1980s prime time television?
* What if Pamela Sue Martin never left? Would Catherine Oxenberg have ever been introduced?
* What if Elizabeth Taylor or Raquel Welch were cast as Alexis? Could that have worked?
* What if John James had been cast as Steven? He originally read for the role.
* What if...?

I think a major "what if..." would have been if Pamela Martin never left the show. She was such a major character to lose when the show was in its prime. I think if she never left...we may have never had the Maldaivia thing or Rita storyline.
