Just saw Catch 22 (sorry about the misspelling). That was the best cliffhanger in Dynasty. The whole season was great due to the new writers. But I wonder how would season 10 played out if the show was renewed. Does any experts know?
I did read somewhere that the woman in the limo was to be played by Lauren Hutton and the character was to be one of Blakes early flames.

Joan Collins and Michael Nader had both decided to leave the show. Joan was willing to do guest appearances, though. So most likely, Dex would have been killed off and Alexis would have probably ended up in a coma or paralyzed and shipped off somewhere to recover.
Sable, pregnant with Dex's baby, would not have had a father for her child. Most likely Blake would have married her to give the baby a father. If Linda Evans were ever to return, the you-know-what would hit the fan!
Both Dominique and Jason were hinted at at the end of Season Nine. They were going to return in Season Ten. Dominique would have helped Blake against the Lauren Hutton character. Monica still had issues with Jason for disowning her and Miles, and Sable was hiding the identity of Monica and Miles' real father. There was talk that it was actually Cecil Colby who raped Sable.
I haven't read what was going to happen with Adam, Jeff, Monica, Fallon, Zorelli, Sammy Jo or Tanner. We can only assume there was going to be a romance between Jeff and Monica. Whatever happened between Fallon and Zorelli, and Sammy Jo and Tanner depended on whether the actors who played Tanner and Zorelli became contract players. Dynasty had a nasty habit of dropping characters after their Season Finales. I'm sure Adam would have stood trial for attempted murder, but who knows who they had planned for a new lady in his life. Sammy Jo or Monica would have been interesting, as they were the only young women besides Fallon on the show. Also interesting would have been an affair between Adam and Lauren Hutton, which would have been more likely!

I just wanted to say that the finale to Season 9 was great! It set up the best cliffhangers in the history of the show. I really enjouyed the Roger Grimes mystery. My favorite cliffhanger would have to be Fallon and Krystina trapped in the mine with Dennis Grimes, and seeing his hand moving under the rubble!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I wish that it had continued onto a 10th season. I have not yet seen the Reunion movie, but it seems that it wasn't well liked and that it didn't revolve many of the major cliffhangers, which was a shame since Paulsen did a much better job directing and with storylines than the Shapiros had in the last year or two.

Ummm...I guess I didn't have anything of real importance to say. I just enjoyed Season 9 incredibly and wanted to share my thoughts. I've been waiting for months for this season to come on Soapnet. I've been watching the reruns consecutively since season 4, but lost interest early in Season 8.

I just finished watching season 9 on video, and I have to agree that it is the best, it reminds me when the show was at it's prime (1982-1985) Too bad it seems their wasn't a tenth season, or better yet a better reunion movie to try it perfectly.

This is not true. Diahann Carroll was under contract. She was appearing on NBC's "A Different World". Dominique had nothing to with the plot anyway, she was only mentioned because Tom Carrington left papers with her mother, his lover. Jason was mentioned because he was the motivation behind Sable's vendetta. There is no proof that either were returning, just rumors. Please do not report rumor as truth.

And for that matter, nothing has ever been established about Lauren Hutton.

I recently rewatched Season 9 and thought one of the things they were likely to pursue in Season 10 was an outright conflict between Blake and Adam. Season 9 set the stage for that with Blake throwing Adam out of the mansion and then accusing Adam of setting him up for the murder of the witness. Even some of the episode titles in season 9 (House of the Falling Son, The Son Also Rises, Here Comes the Son) seem designed to set in motion Adam becoming more of an adversary toward Blake.

Adam also was the logical one to take over control of Colbyco with Alexis gone. While Adam had always been pretty clueless at business (compared to Jeff and Steven), Blake probably would not have been able to focus too much on Denver Carrington. He would have been facing difficulty after being shot and then dealing with having shot the police officer. Alternatively, Blake might have ceded control of Denver Carrington to Jeff temporarily, which would have set up a new Jeff/Adam conflict -- this time as heads of the dueling companies.

I think if there had been a season 10, then Sammy Jo should have played qite a big part. And also needed to grow her hair back.

It's just such a shame there wasn't a seaosn 10. The cliffhangers were so good(except Sammy Jo not having a decent cliffhanger after such a good year).

Seeing more of Sable would have been great, and i would have been very disapointed if Alexis and dex wasn't there.

bringing back Dominique would have been great. She and Sable could have been great friends. Such a crying shame they weren't in the reunion.

i think it's time we had another Dyansty series, ala the next generation. Heather Locklear and Emma Samms would still be young enough to do it and they could cast Little Blake and Danny and krystina as older actors now.

I've just bought the script of "cache 22" and there's something interesting about the woman in the limo: she's mentioned as "Elias". I don't think it's her first name - it's more likely a family name - but it's certainly jewish. That proves that she has something to do with the list of people that Dominique's uncle gave to Blake (it's a list of the persons who possessed the elements of the treasure stolen by the nazis for their collection).

As for the Lauren Hutton's rumor, I think it's true since the woman in the limo clearly has the same kind of voice than Hutton's.
