Blake & Krystle courtship (continued) Options

I was watching some different seasons of Dynasty yesterday and ran across a great scene with Krystle/Blake that I forgotten about. It is in season 6, episode 2 I think. Right after they get back from Moldavia, Krystle is in the nursery with the baby and Blake walks in and kneels down. Krystle has tears in her eyes and Blake asks what's wrong? She talks about lost loves (Ashley & Luke) and Blake says they will never lose each others love....

Any pictures or descriptions of this would be great. Linda looks very sexy and beautiful in this scene, it's a touching one.

Hey - why wait until tomorrow - I found the scene

After Moldavia – the nursery

Krystle is dressed for bed and is sitting in the rocking chair in the nursery. She is holding Krystina on her knee, stroking her hair as she is gurgling and wriggling around. Blake is also dressed for bed and walks into the nursery, smiling as he sees them together. He kneels beside Krystle and laughingly says to his baby – so how is my little one tonight? as he tickles her & she smiles back at her daddy. Krystle smiles at her daughter and laughs and then she turns to smile at Blake but he sees tears in her eyes and he asks – half seriously & half teasingly – hey now, what is this? as he reaches to wipe a tear from her cheek.

Krystle is startled as she probably didn’t realise either that she had been crying or that it was obvious and so she wipes the tears from her eyes and sighs sadly, saying that she had been thinking about Ashley and Luke & Jeff and Steven. She looks into his eyes as she says – how sad, all that love lost, wasted. Blake nods but says nothing, and Krystle reveals her own feelings and fears whilst in Moldavia – she remembers how frightened she was that day when she thought she may never hold Krystina again – then she turns to Blake and says – or you. Blake can see how much she loves them both and appreciates that she had been very frightened – he also sees again how she is always thinking of others rather than herself – he said before that he always loved that about her. He smiles reassuringly at her & declares that as long as he lives, nothing will come between the three of them – ever. Krystle looks happier and they share a tender kiss – she is smiling because the three of them together is so important to her – being a real family – and Blake will protect them. They both look at Krystina as she reaches towards Blake & he takes her hand and kisses it. The scene is great as the three of them look so close & loving. They love and care for each other so much and Blake shows that they are so important to him – they can rely on him to protect them – as indeed he did rescue Krystle from Moldavia.

I must be getting to old. I cant seem to win a scene for anything. I have learned that it does no good to go into detail because someone else will always win for having a general ideal about the scene

Game part 8:

After Joseph’s death

Blake walks into the living room and sees Fallon, Steven & Krystle and manages a weak smile. He is very tired but is touched that Krystle is there. After Steven leaves the room, he sincerely thanks her for coming, saying that it is really very kind of her, and she says that she knows how much Joseph meant to the family. The mood is a little awkward but they both manage OK. Blake then leaves the room to see Kirby.

After he has talked with Kirby, he goes downstairs, looking very sad & alone and is about to walk past the living room when his eye catches Krystle still in there. She is wandering slowly about the room, a faraway expression in her face, almost as if she were a visitor to the house. As he sees her, a genuinely happy smile crosses his face as he surprised that she is still there – he expected her to avoid him. Blake comes into the room saying how pleased he is that she is still there – his voice almost startles her as he thoughts were miles away. He continues by saying he wanted to tell her that the police were going to drop the charges against Mark immediately. Krystle is equally surprised that Blake would make a point of telling her that, considering how he feels about Mark, and she smiles and thanks him for telling her. Blake considers her face for a moment, trying to gather his own thoughts, and then admits that he also wanted to tell her something else. He says that he’s sorry, truly sorry that he wasn’t able to go along with her convictions that Mark was innocent. He pauses and very humbly says that he has realised that his personal resentment against him probably clouded his judgement – he had insisted to her that he was not unfair but in this instance he was unfair. Krystle listens to him in silence then says softly that this was very honest of him, and gives him a warm, even loving smile, reassuring him that she understood what it took for him to say that & she believes him. Krystle has indicated that he has managed to mend some bridges in their relationship and Blake is so grateful for that small step that he doesn’t want to push things too far – they are still on shaky ground. He looks a little awkward and says that the staff are waiting for him, and Krystle now also feels awkward and smiles, saying she has to go to. They both exchange small smiles then Krystle leaves the room.

This scene does show Blake and Krystle not really knowing how to act with each other and it is interesting to see that it is Blake who realises that he needs to change to win her back. He has been forced to acknowledge that he was wrong about Mark & this has also led him to see his own faults rather than dismissing them & refusing to see how far he is to blame for the problems in his relationship. Blake has always been a proud man and until then he has rarely been seen to acknowledge that he must change – he did after his murder conviction & he reconciled with Krystle then. Now he has admitted he was wrong & that he had been unfair and Krystle understood that this was a major step for him and fully appreciated what it meant for him to admit that to her. It was an important first step for them as he was beginning to realise more about himself and she could see that he was really trying to change.

The Gold Dress
When Krystle is trying to get Blake & Steven back together - before they had separated, she arranges to have a dinner for the 3 of them but Alexis also arranges for Steven to be stranded in Arizona instead so he misses it.

Blake comes home and Krystle is dressed for dinner in a long golden dress that lies on her shoulders, it also has large fur cuffs. Have to say the dress would have been better without that detail but she really suits that colour and it is certainly becoming on her She looks really great

The scene is also good because we see Krystle standing up to Blake when her refuses to believe that Steven was prepared to come that night. She blames Alexis, saying she knows what kind of woman she is,and Blake rather patronisingly says that he knows what kind of woman she is - caring and with good motives but she shouldn't waste her time being a referee - he is his son and his problem. Krystle is not willing to just accept this and asks - and that doesn't cncern me? Blake says no and Krystle is getting very hurt & angry now, asking what she should be concerned about - the dinner menu, the right dress to wear - and angrily asks whether that is the kind of marriage they have.

Blake doesn't want to discuss it & dismisses it by saying he's talking about Steven but she cries back that so is she - she's trying to accomplish something for him & Steven and also for herself - so there can be some tranquility in the house - then asks whether its too much to ask from an outsider becasue that's what she feels she is.She turns away from Blake now because she is hurt by his attitude and her feelings are starting to come out now. Blake still tries to dismiss this by saying that she's not an outsider - she knows that.

Krystle is very hurt and frustrated with him and her insecurities have been bottled up for too long and so she turns round quickly and cries sharply that - no she doesn't know! She sighs and tries to explain but she is becoming upset - she says when he went to look for Steven he didn't want her and when he went to Singapore he didn't want her there in case it wasnt Steven. She searches for the words and says finally that he's like a man on a mountain sometimes, your mountain and he doesn't want anyone to climb it with him, ncluding her. Blake snaps, saying its not true but she challenges him saying that she thinks it is & its time she started to worry about herself - from now on she'll take care of her own problems & leave him to take care of his own on his own.

Blake looks stunned at this outburst because we rarely see her challenging him like this and telling him some home truths - she also rarely reveals her own doubts & insecurities - preferring to keep them to herself. She looks very fiery in this scene because she is trying to do something really good but its as if its being thrown back in her face and she is hurt at that and also for the bigger implications for how they see their marriage in different terms. Krystle storms out & Blake calls after her but we see that Krystle is very vulnerable as she goes to the staircase and hides, leaning against the wall , taking a deep breath as it had been quite a speech she had given. She is just standing there considering all that has happened and looks so alone in that house as the camera pulls back - perfectly representing how she feels so emotionally alone in the mansion with not even Blake understanding her feelings.

I think I know...it is in season 5. It is after Krystle comes home from the stables with Daniel Reese. She wants to buy a horse or she did something that day with the horses and is all excited about it. But Blake is not really thrilled with the idea especially because D.R. is involved.

ForeverKrystal - I've found some scenes from the governorship race that I think you will like

Before announcing for Governor

After the business with Steven having to kill Matthew Blaisdell, the whole family were gathering for dinner and Blake was considering his future. He is sitting alone in the library looking very thoughtful when Krystle appears at the door, dressed for dinner in a sparkling dark top with a short, flared, colourful skirt. She pauses and smiles and asks “private thoughts?”, to which Blake is brought back to reality and returns her smile, correcting her by saying “many thoughts!” and says he’s thinking about Steven, running for governor and the dinner tonight. Krystle smiles as she walks towards him & reassures him by saying that she thinks the dinner is a wonderful idea – Fallon & Jeff are back and so are Adam and Dana – its just what everyone needs. As she says this, she kneels down beside him and entwines her fingers in his. Blake warmly holds her hand and agrees with her – Steven could do with some family support right now. Krystle gently strokes his fingers as she asks what about him – what does he need to make his decision. Blake looks at her and smiles and shakes his head, trying to fathom out is thoughts and says that he’s been a lucky man blessed with a full life – friends, family, then he pauses to look playfully at her – “the love of an extraordinary woman!” , to which she smiles at him. He continues more seriously by saying that he nearly lost it all, but Krystle smiles and says but he didn’t, “we’re together and we always will be”.

They share loving glances and Blake continues this theme of conversation by asking her what she’s say if he suggested they run away – leave Denver & turn everything over to the kids – just take Krystina and find their private paradise that they’ve talked about so many times. Krystle doesn’t seem to mind this at all and she smilingly says that she’d leave with him tonight & they’d be happy, but then she looks away and Blake asks - but? She pauses and looks seriously at him and asks what about his dreams? She knows they would be happy together but also knows that Blake would also feel that he was unfulfilled if he didn’t try to achieve all his dreams. He tries to play it down by saying that dreams affect many people and could have an impact on the family, but his wife knows him better than that & knows its just an excuse so she says that the family is a lot stronger than he imagines. She sees that he is reconsidering and encourages him to follow his dream, saying he should do it – he wants to, and he gives her a very warm loving smile in return. He can see that she knows him & loves him very well and that he can always rely on her for love and support – especially important in a political campaign. I think he knows it is a dream for him but if she was not so keen then he would be unlikely to stand for office.

The Exercise bikes

Both Blake and Krystle are on exercise bikes as they are reading an article about his campaign. Blake is exhausted and gives up but Krystle continues and says he’s earned himself a tall cool glass of fresh orange juice. Blake stands beside her, still out of breath but takes hold of the towel around her neck and pulls her closer to him as he says he was hoping for something a lot sweeter! then he kisses her on the lips . He looks at her expectantly wondering if he will get another in return but Krystle smiles and declares that besides being a terrific kisser he’s going to make a wonderful governor. Blake laughs but then Krystle continues by saying that the race isn’t over yet so he should get back on the bike for another 15 mins. Reluctantly he does so – knowing that there is no prospect of another kiss just yet!
