Blond, muscular Miles loves women, loves to have a good time, loves polo, his Ferrari. He loves everything except working for his father and having commitments. 

Miles Colby, the son of Jason and Sable, was a playboy, a rich and spoilt brat until he met Randall Adams. Miles discovers his first true love. She changed him and brought the wonderful person in him. Miles's love for Randall was something magical. He was there for her when she suffered from amnesia, loving her and supporting her every step of the way. Nothing could make him happier than when Randall married him. But their happiness was short lived when it was discovered Randall was actually Fallon, ex-wife of his newly discovered brother Jeff. 

He will not be able to let Fallon decide between him and Jeff and will, like a spoilt brat go after what he thinks belongs to him by raping her. After the divorce, he will suspect the child Fallon is carrying is his and will get into a fight with his brother Jeff. Though she loved him, Fallon choose Jeff. Miles took it hard. He hated the world, Jeff in particular. He couldn't face the fact Fallon isn't his and sought comfort in the bottle. 

He tried moving on by marrying Fallon's look-alike Channing, but the marriage wasn't based on love and it was short lived. Miles always had a problem relating to people but was always close to his twin sister Monica and his younger sister Bliss. Unlike the Carrington children, the Colby siblings were really close and full of love for each other. Miles was always Sable's favorite and never really gotten along with his father. 

Few years later, Fallon and Miles were reunited, planning their future together. Miles helped safe Jeff's life as well. But in the ending, Miles realized Fallon's heart belongs to Jeff and he did the ultimate sacrifice, gave up on his happiness and let Fallon go. Life made this young man more adult and serious and Miles has a chance to find his happiness.
