Jeff Colby comes to Los Angeles in search of Fallon who mysteriously disappeared from the wedding in Denver. After news of Fallon's death, the Carrington's were in great pain, and only Jeff believed she is alive. 

He shares a special connection with his aunt Constance Colby, who gives Jeff her shares of Colby Enterprises. With his new position of power, Jeff steps in to take his role in the family business working with Jason. His reintegration into the Colby family wont be easy. Sable doesn't accept him and Miles attacks him over Fallon. 

Jeff finds Fallon in Los Angeles and he'll fight for her learning that she has lost her memory and married his half-brother Miles. In addition to that, he'll also find out from his mother Francesca that his father is Jason Colby and not his brother Philip. In the beginning he holds a grudge for the Colby family, but in time he accepts Jason as his father and becomes closer to them, particularly closer to Miles after a great deal of conflicts and outbursts of jealousy.  

Jeff will fight a hard battle for the love of his darling Fallon. He will have a second child with her, a daughter Lauren. After adventures and crises on both sides Jeff managed to win Fallon's love and to have what he always wanted, a family.
