Claudia's and Matthew's daughter grows up in her most sensitive teenage period without her mother, who is in an asylum after the nervous breakdown, and her father, who works in the Middle East as a geologist for Denver Carrington. 

Upon his return to Denver , Matthew gathers the family, Claudia gets slowly recovered, and Lindsay gradually strengthens the relationship with her mother. In a moment, Lindsay will reveal that Claudia and Steven have emotional and sexual relationship, which will only worsen the relationships within the family. Completely mixed-up, the young girl cannot stand her parents' quarrels. 

When Matthew finds out Claudia's infidelity, he decides to leave Denver with their daughter, however, while riding in car with his father, poor Lindsay dies in a car accident in Brazil .
